My work with people coping with mood and anxiety disorders started over 15 years ago. Over the years I have met with clients in research settings, undergraduate university clinics, community clinics, and VA hospitals. In all of these settings, my goal has always been the same: to teach the skills that have been shown to diminish symptoms and prevent relapse. Now, in my private practice, my goal is to help pregnant and postpartum parents tackle this very task.
Mood and anxiety disorders do occur during and after pregnancy, and I aim to help parents treat their symptoms and prevent relapse so that they may experience fulfillment in their daily lives. I am a member of Postpartum Support International and I have completed specialized trainings in perinatal mental health care. The needs of parents are unique and I am passionate about offering treatments that are informed by research and shown to be effective.
